The ULA Bracket DT-4 is a development of an earlier model submitted to this challenge. It has a density of 0.04841 pounds per cubic inch, weighs 0.09724 pounds and has a volume of 2 cubic inches. The minimum edge distance from all bolt holes (0.22in) is twice the diameter of the hole away from the center and maintained throughout the depth. Similarly, the minimum edge distance from all bolt holes (0.27in) follows the same rule. Finite Element Analysis was used to calculate strength with a predicted maximum von Mises stress of 4378 psi under an ultimate load of 600 lbf applied uniformly in the negative Z direction.
