In Mr. David Badgett's Q&A, he states that if there is a conflict between maintaining 2D edge distance and the design space boundary, the latter will take precedence. Using this information, I revised my ULA Bracket Design 002CP (VER001), which is my third entry for this challenge. The design maintains a material edge of at least 2*D from the center of the hole and uses shells with ribs for support and reinforcement. Strength calculations were performed using Finite Element Analysis, predicting a maximum von Mises stress of 4314 psi under an ultimate load of 600 lbf applied uniformly.
