Ukulele Unipeg

Ukulele Unipeg

I wasn't thrilled with the designs I found on Thingiverse. So, I decided to create something that met my requirements: - It had to be 3D printed without support. - It needed to be adjustable. - It had to avoid colliding with other pegs, keeping in mind that a ukulele is a small instrument. - It shouldn't look too ugly. - It should be compact. After trying out several traditional designs, I finally came up with a key and a peg that provide sufficient force. This design is compatible with the ukulele found on Thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:268090. The sound quality of this ukulele is truly great! I printed mine in ABS plastic, but PLA works just as well. If you find ABS too slippery, a bit of talc powder can be very effective. A 25 to 33% infill seems sufficient, but make sure you have at least four shells for the best results.
