Ukulele Strap Hooks
myminifactory
Ukuleles are small and lightweight, but adding a strap can be challenging, especially at the back. This innovative design, inspired by MyMiniFactory's instrument spare parts contest, features two hooks: one for the headstock and another for the sound hole, allowing for easy attachment and removal of a strap. This traditional approach to designing a strap hook is surprisingly effective, yet I had never tried it before. Thanks to 3D printing technology, I've now successfully incorporated this feature into my ukulele setup. Specifically, I've applied this design to my Kala KA-SSTU-C Concert Travel Ukulele, but it should work seamlessly on any ukulele with similar headstock and sound hole thicknesses. Enjoy playing your instrument! It's worth noting that while ukuleles are incredibly lightweight, you'll want to exercise caution when relying on 3D printed plastic for securing your instrument. However, this is no more hazardous than the risk of a guitar strap coming loose, which is not uncommon.
