Ukulele Project (MYE3D Remix)

Ukulele Project (MYE3D Remix)

thingiverse

I decided to make a 3d printed ukulele based on the design from MYE3D on Thingiverse. It printed good and plays well. Thanks for MYE3D for great files! I ended up using an actual blank bone saddle and nut, wire frets, and installed a bargain piezo transducer to amp it up :) I uploaded the Fusion 360 file so you can export the parts as an stl and make adjustments if you need. I included just one stl file so that Thingiverse would let me save and publish this Remix. Project description and sound test - https://youtu.be/Up4TsZT-iDY Amped Loop Sample - https://youtu.be/p0gBIsNRPPw Some of the changes and adjustments I made: - Created fret marker dots for the fretboard. - Separated the fretboard alignment bar to allow for flatter printing. - Modified the bridge to print easier and allow for a bridge support to enhance tuning stability. - Created a neck support block for inside the guitar body. - Added a design to the rosette ring with a world map in the shape of a tree. - 3d printed string tie beads found on Thingiverse. Future to-do's and suggestions: - Would like to see a modified bridge file all one piece. - Would like to create a small block for the tail end to make the end stronger for strap buttons or passive piezos. But it seems strong enough as is. - Would like to see the head stock just a little wider but not a huge deal. - Would like to see a small pilot hole made for the tuning machine headstock. I like that the holes are wide but not wide and only 2/3's the way through. The issue is that it's best to drill a set of smaller pilot holes instead of using a large drill bit. Currently you have to make sure you center punch the holes so that you don't accidentally offset the holes as you make your way to bigger sizes. It would make it easier to get things all centered up if there was actually just one reasonable sized pilot hole all the way through the headstock. 3D PRINTING UKULELE FILES USED FOR THIS PROJECT Ukulele by MYE3D - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3415529 TreeWorld Map (Used for Rosette) - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5155326 Guitar String Tie Bead - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4160240/files 3D PRINTER USED: . . .
