UHF CB Antenna Base Replacement
thingiverse
Update - Rev 5 has been put to the test for several weeks now, enduring numerous rough encounters with my 5 foot fiberglass throughout dense scrub and rugged off-road terrain. It's fallen short of meeting its watertight expectations, but a simple wipe with acetone followed by a protective spray of silicone sealer is highly recommended. Adding the original rubber seal to the equation would also help. You'll need to obtain the original stem and mounting components from a standard UHF antenna base in order to fully integrate this setup. I strongly suggest going with 100% infill material when printing. In our tests on a bearing press, we utilized ABS at full infill and successfully reached 12 imperial tonnes before it finally cracked. Keep an eye out for the included early prototypes; some will yield better results than others when it comes to printing. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback.
