History The Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk was first flown in October 1974 as part of the Utility Tactical Transport Aircraft System program. This program was created to provide a troop transport, command and control, MedEvac, and reconnaissance helicopter to replace the UH-1 Huey. It is the Army's frontline utility helicopter. Main utility versions include the original UH-60A, UH-60L, and UH-60M. The Battle Hawk is a weaponized version of the UH-60M Black Hawk. Few exist right now but the Australian Army has ordered some and the UAE put in an order for Battle Hawk conversions in 2011.
