UGUNUGU ELBOW
thingiverse
"UGUNUGU ELBOW (BETA)" is a name that means elbow in Garifuna language, spoken by the Garifunas, a group of indigenous people with mixed ancestry from West Africa, Central Africa, Island Carib, Europe, and Arawak. This native community lives in Honduras, where GUALA, a Facebook page, is located. This project is the result of several international collaborations between the E-NABLE community, particularly from GUALA and RENABLE, official E-NABLE chapters. The Ugunugu Elbow is an open-source elbow design for 3D printing, inspired by the Po Elbow on Thingiverse. It has these features: => Four lockable positions (about 107.5 degrees) => Normally locked by a spring's restoring force (diameter about 10mm, free length about 25mm, and winding about 50) => Fully printable in 3D (excluding the spring and bolts; future designs may replace them with 3D printed alternatives) => Compatible with the Adjustowrap Gripper Arm System on E-NABLE This is a ***BETA*** design, and many tests are being done as we publish these first source files. We hope others will get interested in this project and help speed up its development.
