This is my latest take on the classic "ugly" stick RC planes. The Complete Aircraft model uses the wing I previously posted as http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2078106. While I have yet to print the entire aircraft, I've done test prints and am excited about its potential. To achieve good results, I recommend printing at 100% infill with one perimeter (two perimeters may work even better), two top & bottom layers & with supports for the main fuselage parts. The flat tail surfaces (elevator & rudder components) and hatch doors print well with 50 to 75% honeycomb infill (possibly less). This configuration seems to work well on my prusa I3 with a .35mm tip and PLA. Assembly is done using 10 - 25mm long 2mm joiner pins and medium CA glue. The control surfaces on the tail are hinged using standard CA hinges. The elevator sections are joined with 2mm pins and CA glue. The hatch (nose) and battery door can be hinged simply with tape or using Dubro hidden hinges. This plane is designed to work best with a motor like https://hobbyking.com/en_us/d2826-6-2200kv-outrunner-motor.html, which I recommend pairing with a 7X5 prop, a 35A or better esc, and a 2200 to 2800mAh 3cell 30C battery. For servos, use Tower Pro MG90S.
