This engine upgrade replaces the stock plastic motor on the Ugly Stick, which is sourced from Hobby King. A critical feature of this new unit is its ducting system, designed to efficiently manage temperature fluctuations and prevent overheating issues. During installation, it's possible that the bearing area may require some adjustment or expansion to accommodate the upgraded 20mm bearing. On my personal printing setup, the part consistently prints slightly undersized at around 19.7mm. Furthermore, it is necessary to drill a specific hole in the fuselage cowl, positioned approximately 10mm off the mating surface. This modification will grant access to two grub screws embedded within the propeller shaft extension, facilitating further adjustments or repairs as required.
