This Christmas ornament is a creative twist on Ugly Ball 9, featuring fewer larger round holes. It transforms Ugly Ball 12 into an elegant display case where you can place an object completely enclosed within the ornament's shell. To create this unique piece, simply pause your 3D print halfway through, insert the object, and resume printing. My Ugly Ball series is a heartfelt tribute to mothers everywhere who cherish their children's early creations, like my own papier mache globe ornament made at age five or six for my mother. This treasured heirloom has been a family favorite for over forty years and still proudly takes its place on the tree every year. I'm delighted to share this design with you! To get started, head to the Thingiverse Customizer, where I've modified this object to work seamlessly. Feel free to experiment with different parameters – just be aware that some adjustments may result in an unprintable object, so simply tweak the sliders until it becomes printable again. To print this beautiful display ornament, follow these easy steps: 3D print this design about halfway or two-thirds of the way complete, pause your print, insert the object you'd like to showcase, and then continue printing. The result will be a stunning piece with the contents visible through the array of holes.
