UFS-055 Mini Chisel with Replaceable Olfa Blade
thingiverse
This is an interesting design for holding blades, but I wanted to use a more common blade. I found these Olfa blades on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BNXOOU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. They were only $5.20 for a pack of 5 blades. I started with this basic design, available at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3891353. I adjusted the design to fit the width and thickness of the Olfa blades. I also adjusted the tool head to hold all of the tang with just the blade exposed. To secure the blade, you will need a 2mm bolt and nut. The design includes a slip-on blade cover for when not in use. The blade is close but not even with the bottom. This makes it difficult to control for deep cuts or cuts on a long edge. For these situations, you must raise the blade at an angle to clear the bottom of the holder. However, this can cause the blade to dig too deep, or require excessive work to control the cut. As with all designs that involve a blade, use caution when handling. The blade or handle may break if you apply too much force.
