UE Boom Bicycle Mount
thingiverse
I wanted to find a way to attach my UE Boom to my bicycle so I could hear music while riding without it bouncing around in a backpack. This solution works for me, but I make no promises about its stability or durability. I designed the mount using Autodesk 123d and posted it online at http://www.123dapp.com/123D_Design/UE-Boom-Bicycle-Mount/4192125 for anyone to use. Please be aware that this is just a DIY project, so use it at your own risk and handle it with care. I printed the mount using ABS plastic, which appears strong enough but I haven't tested its limits on rough trails or major bumps yet. If you decide to make one, be gentle when handling it. Update: After several rides with this setup, I'm pleased to report that it's held up well to bumps and turns without any issues. However, during a recent accident where I took a spill due to a crowded sidewalk and uneven terrain, the speaker came loose from its mount because I didn't secure it properly. The good news is that the mount itself remained intact. To avoid this problem, I recommend finding a way to keep your UE Boom securely attached to the mount before hitting rough terrain or engaging in high-impact activities.
