Udoo Dual & Quad Mini PC Case - Multiple Configuration Options - rev. 2.0 - Updated Nov.28
thingiverse
Revamp your Udoo computer and controller board with a three-part case that includes dual 40mm exhaust fans and slots for HDD/SSD. Older versions are available, but make sure to use parts from the same revision for compatibility purposes. Check out Gallery pictures for Revision 2 details. For enhanced performance, apply foam tape to secure your HDD/SSD in place and ensure you get 5V fans to optimize fan header functionality. In Revision 2, note that there's space for a straight SATA connector but limited room for traditional clip connectors on the UDOO itself. A cover can be added to allow Arduino expansion boards to plug in directly over the top, which may require soldering of SATA connector wires to the board pads. In Revision 1, the design allows easy fitting of boards without risking damage to connectors and buttons. Mounting tabs are also included for convenient project mounting. A second top case is available with additional openings for ribbon cables, and these can be customized upon request. Future plans involve revamping cooling fan layouts, cable routing for HDD, extending the case to move cables internally, and moving exhaust fans away from the microSD card slot for easy access. Revision 2.0 features an extra base option, "Case_bottom_v.2.0_basic," which is a simpler model without vent holes for exhaust fans or HDD carrier openings. It's ideal for Udoo Dual board users seeking a cleaner print. Pair it with the top featuring extra holes to prevent overheating. In Revision 2.0, an extra lid was added with multiple holes and an HDD base with additional height to accommodate dual 40mm exhaust fans. First released in November, this version optimizes printing and active cooling while reducing vent numbers on the lid. An updated bottom case with fan mounts and vent holes for internal HDD airflow is also available. October updates include a 2.5" (laptop) HDD holder, new case bottom with fan mounts, modifications to front panels for easier printing without support material, and enlarged port openings for improved cable fitment. Contact the designer for custom tweaks to better suit your printer needs. Print these parts on a modified Ultimaker in PLA for optimal dimensional stability.
