uBitX case with Nextion 3.2 and speaker grille
thingiverse
I built a simple uBitX case with holes for various components, including a 16mm mic plug, phone connector, power switch, volume control (the stock one), rotary encoder, Nextion 3.2 display, and speaker. The back panel features holes for an SO-239 and power connections, as well as a square hole for heat sinks. The fuse holder I used is 15mm and was purchased from Amazon through the link https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012CTCWES. I chose an Itead branded display: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015DMOYHY. For the mic connector, I used a 16mm x 8 pin model with PTT, Mic, CW key, and Audio passed through. The link to this item is https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DC7WRWN. To tap off the audio, I used a .1 uF ceramic cap from the volume sweeper, which worked fine with my soundcard; however, results may vary depending on your setup. Mic plug pinout: Pin 1 - PTT Pin 2 - PTT GND Pin 3 - Mic Pin 4 - Mic GND Pin 5 - Key/Resistor to Pin 6 Pin 6 - +5V Pin 7 - Audio - .1 uF cap from Yellow Pin 8 - Audio GND
