Ubiquity UniFi AP ceiling box mount
thingiverse
To mount a UniFi AP from Ubiquity on an octagonal electrical box that measures 4 inches in diameter, you'll need an adapter. The main goal is to integrate a key stone jack into the system and provide a mounting point for the UniFi AP. I have already tested it with the UAP-AC-LITE model, but I believe this adapter will work just as well with other recent models of Ubiquity APs. When you install the access point using this adapter, keep in mind that it won't sit flush against the ceiling. Instead, there's a 1-inch (27mm) standoff, so the access point will be slightly raised from the surface. To connect the key stone jack to the UniFi AP, use a flexible 6-inch ethernet cable for easier installation and reduced strain on the connections.
