I figured I'd give soft mounting motors a try myself with all the hype surrounding them. It seems like they might help a little bit, but without a blackbox on my Atom V2, I don't have any data to back up that claim. If someone does some testing, please let me know what you find out. This design is meant to be printed in Ninjaflex at .250 and with the first layer at .300, you should end up with 3 total layers. The OpenSCAD file is included so you can adjust it to fit your motor dimensions. Enjoy! Update: I made another file for 22XX motors and fixed some issues that were causing problems with OpenSCAD. Now you should be able to paste the code in and have it render correctly. Print Settings: Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .250 Infill: 20 Notes: I sliced it at a total of 3 layers with a first layer thickness of .3.
