Uber 180 Redesign -- No Supports Needed, VTX + Cam Mounts, Motor

pinshape

Summary This redesign enhances the Uber with new features for improved printability. The original design required support due to its printing challenges. The updated version now features cross-spars at the bottom for easy printing on a bed, and larger tube holes to minimize drilling needs. I've also included an SMA connection hole in the top plate of the Uber 180 to protect the vtx and facilitate mounting without additional fasteners. Rounded corners have been removed to simplify printing. Top: A new SMA connection hole is added to the top plate of the Uber 180, providing a secure way to mount the vtx while safeguarding it from damage. The design also features an angled camera mounting hole for standard FPV cams, adjustable at 40 or 30 degrees depending on the chosen file. If you require different angles or sizes, please let me know. Motor Mount: A protective guard piece is incorporated into the motor mount to shield motors from side impacts. However, it's essential to verify the size of these guards against your rs2205s before printing a full set, as they might not be sufficient for this specific motor model. Notes Materials Nylon 910 is the recommended material for optimal results. Well-printed PLA may also work, but its strength should be evaluated before use. Printing Recommendations Print slowly and at high temperatures to ensure strong bonding between layers. Thin layers are advised for maximum strength, depending on the chosen material. Motor mounts will require minimal support under their pegs.
