UAV GPS Post Mount XT90
thingiverse
Decided to upgrade GPS post mount to an XT90 power connector, ditching the standard post mounts that come with the GPS modules. The flexibility to unplug and lay down the GPS mount for storage is a major advantage. Folding mounts often require longer cables, making the UAV unnecessarily long when folded. A M8N GPS module from Hobby King takes center stage in these pictures. To create a base XT90 connector, drill a 2.5mm hole in the center of the connector pins and tap it with a 3mmx0.5mm thread. It's essential to hold the pin steady to prevent it from spinning out of control. Next, cut off the solder cup that protrudes below the connector. This modification provides space for any remaining stub on the connector. A drill guide is included in the files, allowing you to precision-drill 3mm holes in the UAV plate exactly where you need them. Base pieces labeled with "Hover1" are specifically designed for the Hover-1 frame from FoxTech.
