UA Apollo Twin and X4 Rack / Surface Mount Kit

Hello.Hope you're good.I've designed this because I rack mount a lot of Universal Audio Apollo Twin / Twin X / X4 interfaces and to preserve the ventilation underneath, I always drill through a rack shelf and into the feet which is often a painful and annoying experience, not to mention the imperial screws required are quite difficult to obtain in the UK as well the lengths needing to be different for each brand of shelf to avoid screwing into the PCB and destroying the interface.I've seen lots of people remove the feet and velcro the interface straight to a shelf, but that goes against the manufacturer's advice of ventilating the bottom of the interface and does not sit right for me.So, to make things easier - here are two designs that can be velcro'd straight to a rack shelf or surface that maintains ventilation, uses the original screws included with the twin and does not require lots of measurement and precise drilling.Design 1 elevates the Twin 4mm extra and has printed feet, the surface of the print is 50mm which is the width of the heavy duty velcro I typically use. If you can live with it being 4mm higher on your rack shelf then this offers full ventilation and a perfect shape for your velcro and easy installation. Print it twice for both sides.Design 2 does not elevate the Twin but replaces the feet with a 4mm strip (same height as the feet) it does cover some ventilation holes but I feel it is much better than a straight velcro job and offers an easy installation. Print it twice for both sides.This works for the Apollo Twin, Twin X and X4 models as pictured.Print on 100% infill for max strength. I used PLA+ with supports on Design 1.Enjoy!Jamie xx
