U.S.S. Iowa with rotating turrets
thingiverse
A fully printable in-place model of the Iowa-class battleship with rotating turrets. I've stripped away every tiny detail, expanded the gun barrels, reinforced some surfaces and more to make it possible to print all at once. The turrets are inspired by classic naval vessels with rotating turrets, but now featuring actual Iowa-class turrets and a more compact mounting system. By default, it measures 20cm in length, which is probably its smallest scale because of the turrets. Those with smaller printing volumes may need to cut it in half and glue it together afterwards. Note: The turrets are attached to the hull by a few mm thick pole at the bottom, requiring some force to twist loose after printing. Be cautious when handling the fragile barrels at this scale. The entire print takes only a few hours to complete, so start with the "turret_only" version containing just a standalone turret and adjust your print settings before moving on to the whole model.
