U.F.O Lamp. Alien Abduction Nightlight. "Oh no, not the cow!"
myminifactory
"Oh no, not the cow!" I swiftly printed the separate components and then gave everything a vibrant makeover with acrylic paint. The cow sprang to life with a stark white coat and brown spots, its eyes wide with terror as it gazed up at the night sky. The U.F.O shone silver in the moonlight, while the ground beneath was a lush grass green. To give my cow some added lift-off effect, I attached a slender piece of extruded clear filament to its underside, securing the other end to the grass below. A portion of a takeaway plastic container was cleaned and reshaped into a tube for the light beam, which I then inserted into the bottom hole of the U.F.O, holding it aloft at just the right height as I glued it securely in place. For lighting, I used a 1-meter length of battery-powered Christmas lights - first wrapping them around the outside edge before neatly tucking the rest inside the U.F.O, where they shone through the "light beam" with a warm, ethereal glow. To complete my model, another piece of clear plastic was shaped into the cockpit dome at the top and securely fastened in place. This remarkable creation was brought to life using VECTARY, the free online 3D modeling tool that has captured the hearts of makers everywhere. Credits: Model by Naomi Kendall
