Tzir_Blake's Wall Cleat
thingiverse
This is one of those things that probably helps nobody but me! :)\r\n\r\nI needed a cleat (or 4!) so I could mount a custom mini ITX computer case I'm building to the wall above my desk. I couldn't find any commercially made cleats that gave enough airflow distance between the computer and the wall, were strong enough to hold a full gaming rig in the air, and also provided a quick release option. 3D printing is definitely the way to go!\r\n\r\nPart 1 mounts with the gap towards the wall and part 2 mounts onto the part itself - that being the part you want to remove. For example, in my scenario, part 2 would mount to the back of my computer case, and part 1 would be mounted to the wall. That way, I can easily remove my computer from the wall whenever I need to.\r\n\r\nI also recommend printing this part as solid as you deem fit for strength reasons and just to be sensible with what you end up mounting. These are plastic after all! Be smart and be safe with what you're hanging. I'm not liable for any mistakes that happen.\r\n\r\nHappy printing and thanks for checking out my cleat system!
