The Tyrrell P34 (Project 34), commonly known as the "six-wheeler", was a Formula One race car designed by Derek Gardner, Tyrrell's chief designer. The car used four specially manufactured 10-inch diameter (254 mm) wheels and tyres at the front, with two ordinary-sized wheels at the back. The six-wheeled Tyrrell was one of the most radical entries ever to succeed in F1 competition and has been called the most recognizable design in the history of world motorsportsThis is my latest personal project, an attempt to cxreate a complete model of the P34.It has been a learning process with a lot of trips along the way, that has resulted in a lot of parts not fitting properly. About half way through this process I completely changed my approach to the build from a multi file import to a single file create everything in place and that has resulted in a lot better fitting of the latter parts. One day I may return to the early parts and rebuild them but for now it works as a rendr model. This is stage one showing the mechanical assembly.Stage two will show the complete car with side pods, seats and driver canopy, but I really wanted to show all the internal detail.
