Tyro69 prop guards V3
thingiverse
This design was created to be incredibly lightweight and free from airflow restrictions while still safeguarding the props against minor impacts on walls during indoor flights, and it exceeded expectations for this purpose. An unexpected benefit is that zip ties can serve as landing legs if the tails are left long enough (20-22mm). Please note: 1. This design was not intended to be easy to print, so you will need to perform extensive post-processing. 2. These guards are quite thin and may snap after severe crashes. Consider printing multiple sets. Additionally, despite designing it upside down, I found it easier to print in an upright orientation. Also, sealing the sides with a layer of CA glue significantly improves durability without adding excessive weight (4.5 grams per set with glue vs 4.0-4.1 without).
