Tyro69 prop guards V3
prusaprinters

Designed this one to be as lightweight as possible and with minimal restriction to airflow while still protecting the props from light taps on walls during indoor flights. Turned out absolutely great for this purpose.

Unexpected addition is that zip ties can be used as landing legs if you leave tails long enough (20-22mm)

Be aware:

It was not designed to be easy to print, so you will have to postprocess these quite a bit.

These guards are pretty thin so they can and will snap after hard crashes. Consider printing multiple sets.

And although I was designing it upside down, I found it easier to print in upright orientation.

Also, sealing sides with a layer of CA glue helps a lot with durability of these without adding much weight (4.5 grams per set with glue vs 4.0-4.1 without)

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Creality

Printer:

Ender 3

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

0.2

Infill:

100

Category: R/C Vehicles
