Tyro129 GPS backpack (BN220)

thingiverse

This backpack is designed specifically for the original GPS from the Set. Upgrading to a BN880 (with compass) model requires a different backpack, which can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3994491. Mounting this backpack involves just one simple step - using a single cable tie. The cable tie also serves as a second fix to the frame and prevents the GPS from falling out of the backpack. Printing Details: You can print this in PLA, PETG or ABS materials without needing flexible TPU. Printing with the hole facing upwards is recommended. A nozzle size of 0.4 is suggested, as it has been optimized for that diameter. Installation Instructions: Place the T into the top frame's hole. Insert the GPS into its designated slot. Rotate the assembly 90° to align cable tie holes vertically. Connect the GPS connector securely. Use a cable tie to secure everything in place. Cut off any excess cable tie material. Mounting the GPS on top of the backpack provides faster and more reliable connections, especially when flying without an HD camera.
