Tyrannosaurus-Rex 3-layered-animal cnc/laser

I decided to kick off my CNC projects with some straightforward 3D animal designs. These early models were followed by two more complex dinosaurs, the Stegosaurus and Triceratops, which I thought were a great addition to the collection. The Tyrannosaurus Rex was the next logical step, so here it is: the mighty T-Rex! To bring my design to life, I used my entry-level CNC machine on 9mm birch plywood and a spiral-toothed 1.5mm flute to cut out the individual parts. A 4mm beech rod made assembly easier by allowing me to align the components precisely and create movable limbs. Considering my design's complexity, I believe a laser cutter could be an excellent alternative tool for creating smaller versions of this model. It might also be possible to produce a metal version using aluminum or brass, then assemble the parts with screws to create a compact key fob.
