Stormvermin are the Skaven's elite heavy infantry. They, like other Skaven, are singled out from birth to be assigned to their caste. They are all born with pitch-black fur, and grow large enough to match a full grown adult man in height. Their most distinctive markings are their large crests on each of their helms, the crude halberds they carry In battle, They act as a near-unform unit. Each one is given a matching suit of armor and armed with a single Halberd, a weapon only they are strong enough to carry and use effectively. Each division is led by a commanding officer referred to as a Fangleader. This individual is elevated to command through a series of sparring duels, or through veterancy from multiple battles he has participated in and survived.
