This model is a highly accurate polygonal rendition of the Polytech Type 81 light machine gun. This was reverse engineered from a physical sample using 3D scanning and metrology techniques. The Type 81 was developed by China during the 1970s in order to phase out their existing Type 56 and Type 63 rifles. The Type 81 has no interchangeable parts with the AK family of rifles, aside from the magazine which is modified. 3D scan of the drum magazine is included. Otherwise, the standard 30-rd magazine is included as well.
