I used to visit Hayling Island near Portsmouth many years ago and noticed these distinctive pillboxes all over the island. Most have since been destroyed, but seeing Pietia's impressive pillbox model sparked my desire to create a representation of a WW2-style Type 22 pillbox built on Hayling Island.
