Tygr MOD E3D V5 MKII Felix extruder
thingiverse
The MKII version is a more compact extruder than its predecessor, but it requires more effort in construction. It incorporates an original 40mm fan and has been successfully tested. On 26th May 2014, new filament tensioner parts were added to eliminate squeaking sounds, and the base is designed for E3D V5. Adjust the stepper motor contact point on the base as shown in the third picture. A modified version of the base is available for download under 'base_FINAL.' Assemble the E3D HotEnd to the base with caution, as you will be dealing with a hot object; proceed at your own risk. To install an Alu cooler, preheat the oven to 160°C and place only the cooler inside for 15 minutes. Using pliers, carefully remove the heat sink from the oven and press it into a hard pad for placement in the base. After cooling, extract the radiator from the base using pliers. Finally, reinstall the second cooler ball by pushing it back onto a hard surface.
