Tycho crater is visible to the naked eye. This ancient object was created using the 2016 LROC DEM tif file, a massive 22 GB dataset with a precision of 256 pixels per degree. The new files from October were generated with assistance from the CalTech JPL site called Moontrek. The resolution has significantly improved, ranging from 15mm to 3m per pixel, allowing for an unparalleled level of detail.
