Tyche

Tyche, a 2nd-century marble sculpture, resides in the Musee du Cinquantenaire in Brussels, Belgium, crafted with precision by Memento Beta. This iconic work of art embodies an idealized woman, Tyche or Fortuna in Latin, revered as the goddess of destiny, misfortune, luck, and wealth. Inhabiting both power and success, she watches over cities and empires alike. Within the Roman Empire's southern territories, Tyche served as a city's guardian. Perched atop her diadem is a crown that specifically represents a particular city under her care. She dons a chiton, a long tunic, and drapes herself in a himation, a cloak symbolizing dignity. With her right hand, she cradles a cornucopia overflowing with fruits, while her left hand grasps a rudder poised atop a globe, a universal emblem.
