Tybalt the Garden Gnome... SPLIT!
thingiverse
Tybalt the Garden Gnome, created by itech3dp, is ready to take center stage with some innovative printing techniques. By splitting him into manageable pieces, you can print each half separately and double his size without any hassle. When it comes to supports, I rely on Cura 3.6+ with Experimental>Tree Supports as the go-to solution. This feature makes removal a breeze once you've dialed in the settings. The nose, boots, and back of the hat require minimal support, making the printing process much smoother. But that's not all - I've taken it to the next level by splitting Tybalt into four different pieces that can be printed flat on the print bed with zero supports needed. Yes, it takes more time, but no pesky supports to worry about! Itech3dp gets the credit for this awesome model. Pro Tip: Once you've got all the parts printed and super glued together, sprinkle some baking soda into the seam and let it sit for a bit. Then, drip in some super glue and wait for a few minutes before sanding it smooth. The result is a seamless bond that's ready for painting. Special thanks to itech3dp for sharing this fantastic model with us!
