TYAI 2017 FRC, FIRST SteamWorks Robot

Our team's first FRC robot, created for FRC 2017, is the subject of this post. Note that we only participated in offseason events and do not have an official team number as yet. Our temporary offseason number is 9059. The design of our robot was done by Boyuan Chen (G12) and Xinpei Ni (G10), without adult mentor assistance. Jiangsu Tianyi High School in Wuxi, Jiangsu, China is where we are based. An impressive 20 days were dedicated to the design process. Despite encountering numerous challenges, we ultimately received the Rookie All Star Award in OffSeason. I advocate for more teams to "open source" their designs, aiding newcomers.
