Two Wu Tang inductrix tiny whoop frames
thingiverse
This is a Wu Tang Frame that fits Blade inductrix and tiny whoop parts perfectly. I've finally been able to do something like this after years of wanting to take on a project like it. It's now been seven days since I first got my Monoprice Select Mini 3D printer, which was a game-changer for me as a complete beginner. I quickly learned the basics and was able to start creating prints in no time. To create this Wu-Tang Ashtray frame, I used gungn1r's design and added the motor mount and FC mount from PeterProvost's Inductrix / TinyWhoop - Easy to print, plug-and-play frame replacement model. The software I found easiest to edit a 3D model with is Tinkercad online. There are two versions of this frame available: Frame 3, which is smaller than Frame 4 and has part of the props exposed, weighing in at just 3 grams; and Frame 4, which I designed for better prop protection but weighs 6 grams. As of December 24th, 2016, I realized that the larger frame needs to be trimmed down to reach a weight of at least 5 grams. To secure the FC, I used longer screws from the bottom that come up to hold the cam mount in place. The battery is being held on by rubber bands hooked onto the top of each screw. I'd love to see pictures of others building this frame and protecting their motor wires with a motor guard. You'll need to print four STL files, as only one comes with the original file. To prevent the motor from moving up or down, I used an eyeglass frame tightener; alternatively, you can use an O-ring for the same effect. You can see it in action on the picture showing the bottom of the frame. All parts for this project can be found at www.tinywhoop.com. If I were to recommend anything, I'd suggest using Insane motors, Beebrain flight controllers, and LiHV batteries. Enjoy!
