Two Viking Axemen and one Coxwain

Two Viking Axemen and one Coxwain

These were designed to populate my viking ships in 1:72 scale. That small scale on a resin printer is good enough for me, but I guess that if you go up a size to 1:56 or 1:32 scale (apply 128% or 225% size to the attached files) the details will come out better, especially the chain mail. Every figure wears a one-piece mail shirt that reaches down to elbows and knees. Everyone wears a spangenhelm with noseguard (no visors or eyeguards). The two axe warriors come in three versions: bareheaded, with helmet or with helmet and cloak. Added also one version of Egil holding sword instead of axe. There are separate round shields in a realistic size (90cm dia.) to stop a hail of arrows, rocks or thowing-axes. For the matching set of archers and spearmen to give you a fairly complete and authentic longboat team, take a look at https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-viking-spearmen-and-archers-116928 .
