Two-Stroke engine
grabcad
A two-stroke engine is an internal combustion engine that executes a power cycle utilizing just two piston strokes (up and down movements) per crankshaft revolution. This contrasts with a "four-stroke engine," which requires four piston strokes to complete a power cycle across two crankshaft revolutions. In a two-stroke engine, the end of combustion and the start of compression occur simultaneously, with intake and exhaust (or scavenging) processes happening concurrently. Notably, while all engine parts are typically made from high-grade cast iron or aluminum alloy for distinction purposes, renderings here depict materials such as aluminum, brass, and titanium.
