Two piece quad frame
thingiverse
Simple quad frame consists of two pieces. Frame measures 170mm and uses four-inch props, specifically my 4045 four-blade props. I created this frame for old 1806 motors and other parts I had lying around. Any motor capable of swinging a four-inch prop along with matching ESC and FC will do. Eight standoffs on the frame need to be adapted to match the height of the PDB and any components below it. The following parts were used: * DYS BE1806 2300KV brushless motors for multicopters * Naze32 Rev5 acro funfly controllers * Dalprop Q4045 bull-nose four-blade propellers in CW and CCW sets, green, two pairs * Dys BLHeli 16A mini ESCs with soldering pin options, 2-4S * Super Mini Power Distribution Boards with twin BECs for 5V and 12V To assemble the frame, you will need an XT60 connector, twelve M3 bolts measuring ten millimeters, four longer M3 bolts with nuts for mounting the PDB and FC, and motor mounting hardware. The receiver is a six-channel FlySky that had its plastic cover removed. Any four-plus channel receiver will do. I am using Cleanflight with stock PIDs on a 3S 1300mAh LiPo battery. It's not extremely fast, and I don't think my setup can handle four cells. The pictures are from an earlier version of the frame. After testing and crashing several times on grass, I confirmed that the frame can take some serious abuse.
