Two-Part Knife Block cnc/laser
thingiverse
When storing knives in a household with kids, a classic knife block just isn't the best idea. I designed this two-part construction to be stored horizontally in a drawer - and therefore out of reach of the children. It shares the design principle with Stabilo Stand, but uses M5 threaded bars instead of normal screws. The build was done on a desktop CNC machine from Stepcraft using 6.5 mm birch plywood and a spiral-toothed 1.2 mm flute. I finished the knife block with hardwax oil to intensify the wood structure and make it water-resistant. For more interesting designs, visit https://www.zenziwerken.de/en/.
