Two-part coasters
prusaprinters
Being tired of my kids taking a new glass each time they walk into the kitchen to get a drink and putting it directly into the kitchen sink, I decided to create these coasters. Each member of the family can now keep the same glass all the day, at the same spot in the kitchen. After several months, the kids finally seem to get the idea and are starting to use the coasters :-).They consists in 2 parts :The bottom part, that can be assembled as a puzzle to match the desired pattern (circle at the center of the table, line along a wall…)The top, that can be placed :on the bottom part, with a glass above it, like a regular coaster, with a border to keep water drops on it.on top of the glass while the glass sits on the bottom part, preventing insects from falling into our freshly served beverage.I planned to upload these STLs once I'd have create coasters for all letters, but I just found out about the contest, so I posted them as they are. I'll work on all other letters this summer. If some people are interested in getting a specific letter first, or a version for single material printers, just let me know. In order to print them, chose a folder and import all STLs apart from “socle.stl” as a single objet in your slicer.“socle.stl” can be printed as it is or with a color charge for the border.
