Two-Line OpenSCAD Collar Stay
thingiverse
This is a basic collar stay that I designed in just three minutes based on a challenge on /r/functionalprint. It fits neatly into two 80-character-column lines, or three for improved legibility. The dimensions are probably off, since I never wear shirts fancy enough to require a collar stay. That's why I haven't uploaded an STL file yet. Open it in OpenSCAD and size it according to the shirt you plan to use it with, or measure a collar stay that you already have on hand. Just don't simply print it out without checking the fit, then blame me when it doesn't work. It's made up of three hulled cylinders - that's about as simple as it gets. Add $fn=50; at the top of the file if you want a smoother finish. Print it on a 3D printer, or don't bother. Honestly, I couldn't care less either way. The collarstay_long file is not a longer collar stay, but rather a longer version of the original file - by two lines.
