Two Hinged Boxes

Two Hinged Boxes

pinshape

Summary This was an attempt to create a somewhat functional hinge for future use in a Yoshimoto Cube (hopefully that's the correct name). I managed to craft two cubes, and although they're only 24mm small, it's incredibly fun to fidget with them! However, upon rescaling, this design doesn't seem to work as well. Fortunately, various parameters such as box sizes can be easily modified within the OpenSCAD file. I used my trusty Lulzbot TAZ 5 to print these cubes without any supports. Print Settings Rafts: Not Applicable Supports: No Notes: It works best when printed with the hinge in a vertical position. Parts of the hinge may need to be printed in mid-air, but it still functions nicely despite this challenge.
