Two Birds based on M C Escher's work

I've been captivated by M C Escher's creations since I was a kid. This is an adaptation of his hand-drawn masterpieces adapted for use with a laser cutter. Two birds mesh together seamlessly to cover any surface dimension. The ones in the image were etched with precision using the laser at a distance of approximately 8-10 mm out of focus to achieve a bold, thick line, then refocused and cut precisely.
