Hello! This project showcases my ongoing efforts to learn programming and machine design. It's a two-axis CNC table powered by two NEMA 17 stepper motors. Linear transmissions consist of 8mm trapezoidal screws and 8mm aluminum axles with linear ball bearings. The frame is held together using 8mm diameter threaded rods. At least one microswitch is employed as a limit switch per axis. Additional components required include M3 screws for switches and axle couplings, such as the ones used in my setup - 5mm-8mm. I successfully integrated this prototype platform with an Arduino Mega and an Adafruit MotorShield v2.3. This modular design can be repurposed to create any number of two-axis desktop gadgets one might need.
