Twisty Vase
thingiverse
I've been creating a series of impressive little vases lately because they showcase the capabilities of 3D printers perfectly. I felt guilty only using other people's designs and then displaying them to my 3D design class, so I decided to create my own unique pieces. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerGear Printer: M2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .1 mm Infill: 0% Notes: I used 0% infill, no top shells, three side shells, and four bottom shells. The specifics are up to you, but if you want it to resemble a vase, then 0 Infill and no top shells are essential. How I Designed This I utilized Inventor to create it. It was essentially a collection of rectangles that I swept with a twist and a taper. You can produce some striking designs this way, so feel free to experiment with this feature if you're interested in making your own unique pieces.
