Twisty Rolling Filament Spool Holder

<p>This is a rolling filament spool holder. It fits 1kg spools with its rollers in the outer positions, and small spools on its inner positions.</p> <p>Print:</p> <ul> <li>1x base</li> <li>2x upright</li> <li>2x roller</li> <li>4x axle</li> </ul> <p>Required hardware:</p> <ul> <li>6x threaded inserts, M3x3mm (4-5mm depths ok)</li> <li>6x socket-cap screws, M3x6mm</li> <li>4x bearings, standard 608 size</li> </ul> <p>Assembly: insert the axles into bearings first, then insert into roller tubes. These should friction-fit fine. Use a soldering iron to put the threaded inserts into the uprights. Screw the uprights to the base; sorry this step is tough because the screws go through the base into the uprights because it makes the uprights easier to print.</p> <p><strong>NOTE</strong>: I'm having some issues with the rollers jumping from their slots when the filament gets pulled sharply. I'll post an update soon which makes the slots deeper, or possibly switch to a captive system.</p> Category: 3D Printer Accessories
