This is my submission for the competition; I am a machine tool designer but enjoy creative projects. Although the design needs refinement, it works by rotating the handle 90 degrees, which moves the fixture towards the center and compresses the brick. The main task involves drilling a side hole, inserting the first part, attaching the second piece, and tightening the screw. When the fixture reaches its limit, the brick detaches. Several enhancements can be made, but I prefer not to reveal them yet. Unfortunately, time is an issue! As far as I know, there are no similar designs available, and I want to keep it that way. All components can be injection-molded, with the sel being a simple rubber, while other parts would require a robust plastic, possibly HDPE.
