Create the Twisted Wire in SolidWorks using "sweep" & "twist along path" which will be a huge file 82MB. Then save-as a .STEP file and then re-open in SolidWorks and choose not to do "feature recognition" after checking the "Do not show me this again" option. The file will then be much smaller when added to other SW assemblies.
